How the Style Lab Began
For years, Sarah & Andi built a thriving business outfitting men in our area with J.Hilburn’s custom clothing. But time and time again, our friends—and especially their wives—asked us the same question: ‘When will you do this for women?’ We knew the need was there, but the right pieces didn’t exist—yet.
In mid-2024, we reconnected with two industry experts whose missions aligned perfectly with my own. Rachel Laforte, founder of Midnight Oil, was redefining womenswear with beautifully tailored, made-to-measure suiting—filling a gap so many women struggled with. Around the same time, we met a manufacturer with five decades of experience who was pioneering toxin-free, made-to-order essentials to solve the slow fashion problem. A deep dive into color consulting reinforced the belief that style should be intentional, effortless, and personal. There was a clear opportunity to bring these elements together under one roof.
Style Lab was born as a one-stop destination for curated, sustainable, and elevated wardrobes, giving clients a smarter way to build their closets and a better way to shop.

With J. Hilburn, an 8-piece capsule, blending base layers, top layers, and bottoms to suit your lifestyle, costs around $1,800 and creates 24 outfit combinations—just $75 per look. Whether for business or casual wear, this curated approach ensures a polished, versatile wardrobe.”
With Elevere, a 9-piece capsule featuring 6 tops and 3 bottoms offers 45 outfit combinations for around $900, making each look just $20. Designed for effortless styling, Elevere is the perfect travel capsule for her, offering comfort, versatility, and made-to-order ease.

How long do garments take to make?
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase, and all garments are returnable. However, as made-to-order pieces align with our slow fashion values, we encourage thoughtful purchasing to reduce waste. We ensure confidence in your selections by guiding you through fit and color choices, and we also collaborate with local tailors for any necessary adjustments—ensuring every piece you buy is one you love and wear.
